Case of the Month

May/June 2009, Background

20 Year old Polish male comes with chronic left leg swelling and painless gross hematuria.

Axial CT at the level of the bladder shows a dilated Left common iliac vein, prominent left groin subcutaneous lymphatic channels and enlarged left extremity when compared to the right.

Axial images of the kidneys demonstrated no obvious lesion in the kidneys but there were enhancing vessels in the spinal canal.

The Coronal reconstructed images from a CTA done later demonstrated a spinal type 3 juvenile AVM in the cord.

What is your best guess at the diagnosis?
