RAD-AID: Cameroon

Overview

Yale in collaboration with RADAID is deeply involved in Global Radiology Outreach in Cameroon. A Radiology Readiness Assessment was completed at Mbingo Baptist Hospital in Cameroon in 2016. The initiative, led by Kenedy Foryoung, MD, assessed the current imaging modalities, health delivery, and infrastructure.

Mbingo Baptist Hospital serves a population of five million and has the goal of developing into a national tertiary referral teaching hospital offering post-graduate medical education. The partnership focuses on improving diagnostic capability and treatment options. The hospital has currently procured its first CT Scanner and efforts in training the staff are in the works.
