Resident research abounds with many residents presenting at national and international meetings as well as publishing their findings in peer-reviewed journals. Resident research has ranged from clinical investigations to bioimaging science studies, to medical management and public policy research.
Yale Diagnostic Radiology residents have routinely won nationally renown prestigious prizes and honors, including the top national prize in MRI sponsored by Bracco, a Fellowship sponsored by Amersham and The Body CT/MR Society, and a Magna Cum Laude Citation from the ASNM. Another recent honor was extended to one of our chief residents who authored a resolution regarding reimbursement rates for mammography and was passed at the recent AMA meeting.
In addition, Yale resident research is well represented at the annual radiology meetings every year since it's inception. One of our second year residents has been selected to attend the Introduction to Research Program sponsored by the RSNA/AUR/ARRS at either the RSNA or ARRS. Another recent honor was extended to one of our chief residents who authored a resolution regarding reimbursement rates for mammography that was passed at the recent AMA meeting.
