Interview and Selection Procedure

  • Interviews are in conjunction with the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program

  • Invitations to interview are sent through the ERAS post office by email to the applicant’s email address as indicated on the ERAS application.
  • Applicants who will not be offered an interview will be notified by email through the ERAS post office email system.
  • In exceptional cases where inability to interview and visit on one of the listed residency interview dates is a hardship, arrangements for an interview at other times may be arranged by contacting the Residency Program Coordinator. Under these circumstances, you may be assured that this will not compromise your chances of selection.
  • We will be unable to interview applicants who appear without making previous arrangements

Application Requirements

  • Applications to the Fellowship Program will only be accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). We participate in the National Residency/Fellowship Matching Program, and do not accept applicants outside of the match.


Please provide:

  1. ERAS Common Application
  2. Curriculum Vitae
  3. Dean's Letter
  4. A minimum of three (3) Letters of Recommendation:
    -(Independent IR Candidates: One letter must be from your residency program director or department chairman.)
  5. Personal Statement
  6. Photograph (optional but preferred to track applicants after interviews)
  7. Official Medical School Transcripts
  8. USMLE Transcripts or COMLEX Transcripts


IR Resident Application Requirements:

  • Graduation from a medical school in the United States and Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME)
  • Graduation from a college of osteopathic medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
  • Graduation from a medical school outside the United States and Canada and having completed a Fifth Pathway program provided by an LCME- accredited medical school.
  • Additional requirements for Foreign Medical Graduates:

- A minimum of 1 year of clinical or research experience in the US or Canada. Observerships without direct clinical responsibility do not meet this criteria. We will not interview candidates who have not obtained the required experience described.

- VISA ELIGIBILITY AND SPONSORSHIP: Applicants who are not US Citizens or Green Card holders will also need to be eligible for a J-1 visa. H1-b visas are generally not initiated but a transfer on an H1-b may be accepted.
Applicants on H1-b visas who match with us are responsible for all visa fees.

- Passed USMLE Step I & II on the first attempt.

- Fluent in spoken and written English.

- Eligible for ECFMG certification. 


IR Fellowship Application Requirements

  • Have completed an ACGME approved residency in Diagnostic Radiology prior to entering the fellowship and be American Board of Radiology eligible or certified.
Independent IR Residency (Not Yet Open)
Have completed an ACGME approved residency in Diagnostic Radiology prior to entering the Independent IR Residency and be American Board of Radiology eligible or certified.


We participate in the match, which includes a designated interview season. Early application is encouraged. Interviews and positions are offered without regard to sex, race, age, religion, national origin, disability, or veteran's status to our fellowship director.
