Single Kidney

For the body CT protocols, the amount of IV contrast is to be decreased in patients who have a single kidney. For protocols that typically use 150 CC of IV contrast (renal mass, 3 phase liver, dissection, hematuria….), the total amount of contrast will be decreased to 100 CC. For protocols that typically use 100 cc of contrast, the total amount of contrast will be decreased to 75 cc.
